1. What is RRB Group D?

RRB Group D is a Pay Level-1 recruitment for the Indian Railways. Recruitment for various Level-1 posts was announced under CEN 09/2025. The recruitment includes multiple Level-1 posts with a starting basic pay of ₹18,000.

2. Age Limit

As per the stated CEN 09/2025 rules, the basic age limit is 18 to 33 years. Age is calculated with reference to the prescribed date in the recruitment notification.

3. Educational Qualification

Candidates applying for RRB Group D Level-1 posts must possess the qualification prescribed for the relevant post.

10th pass, where prescribed.
ITI qualification, where prescribed.
Equivalent qualification, where accepted.
National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) awarded by NCVT, where applicable.

Qualification date: The required qualification must be completed by the prescribed closing date of the application. Candidates waiting for their final result are generally not treated as qualified.

4. RRB Group D Exam Pattern

The Computer Based Test (CBT) consists of objective multiple-choice questions. The standard pattern contains 100 questions for 100 marks with a 90-minute duration.

Time: 90 minutes for the standard CBT. Eligible PwBD candidates using a scribe may receive the applicable compensatory time according to the notification.

5. Negative Marking

RRB Group D CBT includes negative marking for incorrect answers.

    Example: If you answer 60 questions correctly and 12 incorrectly,
    your score before any other applicable calculation is:
